On February 22nd a magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck near Christchurch New Zealand causing extensive damage to the city and leaving many people in need of assistance.
The Efforts: There is still much work to be done and together, we can help rebuild this beautiful city and assist the victims. All profits from "6 Bottles for Christchurch" will be donated to Matt Petersen's efforts with Global Green to raise funds to provide urgent assistance – including solar and crank flashlights, given the power is still out in many neighborhoods — and support sustainable, green rebuilding in the months and years ahead. The on the ground partner is the Sir Edmund Hillary Institute in Christchurch, whose leadership is working with local and federal authorities to coordinate an estimated 15,000 student volunteers helping clear the rubble, and assist in the rebuilding process.
